Psyllium Husk

Psyllium husk is an effective bulking laxative mainly used for acute or chronic constipation and colon cleansing. The seed husk is mixed with water and drunk to lubricate and sweep the intestines. Psyllium is used to reduce acid indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, haemorrhoids, gastric ulcers and diarrhoea (as it absorbs excess liquid in intestines). Topically, it can be used as a poultice for skin irritation, boils, abscesses and for drawing out toxins.
